A new species. One month. Your best catch.
A friendly community challenge built around responsible diving, verified catches and sharing useful local knowledge.
This is a friendly website game for the Spearfishing Victoria community. Results are not official fishing records.
Only each member’s largest approved fish counts. Placement bonuses move as new catches are approved.
One community challenge, four simple steps
Each month focuses on one Victorian species. Enter once or improve your result as the month unfolds.
Check the species
Review the featured species, current Victorian rules and the challenge dates before heading out.
02Dive responsibly
Stay within the law, dive with a capable buddy and make conservative decisions for the conditions.
04Climb the board
Your largest approved catch counts. Placement bonuses update whenever a longer catch is approved.
Community standings
Length-verified catches, ordered by each member’s best fish.
Approved catches from the community
Real catches shared by members and published after community moderation.
Community first
The challenge is a reason to participate, share stories and learn from one another—not a reason to take unnecessary risks.
Rules before points
Current Victorian regulations, marine protected areas and good judgement always outweigh a place on the leaderboard.
Respect the catch
Take only what you need, handle it well and use the recipes and species information to make the most of it.
